In Jeri, the pace is different from what you are used to in big cities. The village invites you to relax, feel the sand on your feet and retire your shoes and pants for a few days.

Sunset Dune

The late afternoon is classic in Jeri, taking tourists and locals to the top of the Sunset Dune, in the left corner of Jericoacoara beach. At five o’clock the movement is intense, since around half past five the sun dips into the sea.

Walk to Pedra Furada

The Pedra Furada, one of Jeri’s famous postcards, is a thirty minute walk from Jericoacoara beach (to the right). On the way, you will pass Malhada beach and can observe other interesting rock formations in the area, such as the Alligator and Turtle rocks. In July, the sun sets on the other side of the Pedra Furada “hole”, providing a great show. The path along the beach should be done only at low tide - at high tide you have to climb the dunes.

Jericoacoara Square

Inaugurated in 2012, the Square Edvá Esmerino da Silva has all the characteristics of the place, benches in the center in the shape of canoes, fountain and two kiosks covered with straw. It is a cozy and pleasant place. Surrounded by good restaurants, it has become a great meeting point and reference in Jericoacoara.
