ALMAR Seafood Bar - Review

One of my favorites sea food restaurants in Larnaca. They have a very diverse selection in the menu, prepared by the award winning Chef Pantelis Demosthenous, all based in fresh, delicious seafood.

The place is amazing, directly in front of Mackenzie Beach, where you can stay watching the airplanes shortly before they land. Also, you can choose between sun beds on the beach, outside or inside tables.

The desserts are delicious and the perfect close to the experience of eating at Almar. We tried them all already and no regrets.

The staff is friendly and polite. It is the perfect restaurant to go with a group of friends and family and share food, drinks and memories.

From My Plate to Yours: My Personal Recommendations

The fresh fish! They have a different selection of fresh fishes everyday. I highly recommend choosing your fish and asking for their suggestions of the preparation. The price is per kilo and varies between 55 and 75 euros. My favorite is the red snapper prepared as sashimi and sauté.

The Crab and Prawn Purse is an absolute must-try. Whenever I visit, I never miss the opportunity to order it, and it never fails to impress everyone.

What Didn't Quite Hit the Spot

Overall I love all the dishes they have at Almar, but the Prawns Risotto was not so great, too salt and not so creamy.

Is it worth a second taste?

Yes, absolutely yes. I love this restaurant and I go there as much as possible.
